I have spent over 35 years in the animal profession. I grew up surrounded by dogs, being that my mother was a breeder of Miniature Poodles. I started volunteering as a teenager at the local humane society and continued years later as a veterinary technician. In 1994, I began my career as an Animal Services Officer and retired after 20 years of service as a Supervisor of the Animal Services Division. I was a member of the Disaster and Emergency Response team and assisted in animal rescue in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina, hit New Orleans, LA. It was an honor to serve the animals and citizens of the area and a life changing event.

I have experience working with exotics and wildlife issues as well. I believe animals are a privilege and people can live harmoniously with them, if they establish a mutual respect. I love working with animals that have been previously labeled as "difficult" and watching the transformation into a complete family member.

In the past I have had other very good pet sitters while living in other locations, however Debra's service is the best I have encountered. She has extensive experience with animals and it shows in how she related with my three cats, who were very affectionate with her from the first moments that she introduced herself to them on our first meeting. When I returned from my traveling, everything was in order, the cat "facilities" were all clean and in place, and my cats were very content and not stressed at all that I had been away. She communicates with her clients via texting or emails with comments and photos for each visit, which gave me a connection with my animals while I was away.
